Who Are We and What Have We Accomplished so Far?

Our names are Ashley Clarkson and Selina Antonucci and we are Public History Students attending Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. We are interested in the "public" and engaging them with history.  In most cases, people do not realize the rich historical artifacts they walk by daily. The former residence of Louis-Hippolyte LaFontaine is one of these historical artifacts.

On February 23rd we staged a day of advocacy in front of the LaFontaine Mansion, advocating for its restoration.  People need to advocate for these buildings in order to keep these issues fresh in the public eye.  Sometimes there are no outcomes and many barriers attempt to block activists in their process, yet the attempt will always chip away at the barrier until a goal is reached.
